A little about our Sunset Family Sessions
I am so happy that you have seen something in my work that has led you to contacting me today. I would be honoured to capture these wonderful memories for you and your family!
Your family session will begin with me getting to know everyone, your interests, and your unique personalities for a truly personal session.
My style of photography is both casual and natural, as I feel the best images are taken when your family is less aware of the camera. In this way I capture more natural moments between you instead of directing you to look, speak, or pose yourselves in specific ways :-)
All outdoor sessions will take place approx. 90mins prior to sunset as this is when we will have the best light to capture your family and draw on all the emotions that soft light will give us! When booking keep in mind daylight savings is between October and March so sessions in these months will start around 5.30pm. Over the years I have scouted a few beautiful locations that provide a beautiful setting with minimal exposure to the public eye. If you have a location in mind or have seen any images where you like that setting, please let me know and we can find the perfect location to achieve this together.
A little about our In-home Family Sessions
My In-home/relaxed studio sessions are both casual and natural, as I feel the best images are taken when your family is less aware of the camera. In this way I capture more natural moments between you instead of directing you to look, speak, or pose yourselves in specific ways :-)
These images are documentary & tell a story using your home and minimal items in your session. These are edited natural/raw and do not have an over polished finish, because this is real life & all its beauty.
The colour, feel and theme of your images will be created by your decor and clothing. Your family session with Jess will also give you access to use our developing range of dresses for mums to use and some dresses for little girls too, If you wish to see what I have to offer up please let me know.
Not sure your home is suited for a photohgraphy session?
If you love the relaxed vibe for your family portraits but don’t think your home will work well for the lifestyle session your are after we now have a more relaxed space in the studio which you can opt to use instead. This space was designed to provide exactly that! If you are wanting to include furbabies in your session too then an in-home session will better suit you as we cannot accomadate these types of sessions in our studio.

Booking your session
To secure a session a $150 non-refundable booking fee is required within 48 hours of reserving a date
All studio Newborn sessions commence at 10am from my St Clair studio and are limited to weekdays only.
After selecting a date with PJA, you will receive an email with details on how to secure the session, an invoice, your booking contract and your session questionnaire.
Your booking will not be secured until this payment has been made. The booking fee is deducted from the remaining balance, this will be due before your session if paid online or in cash on the day.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your booking your session fee will be forfeited unless your session can be replaced.

I understand booking your photography session is the easy part, the outfit stress sinks in.
We understand that new outfits can be hard to find, and it can get a little pricey especially if you're buying for a few. This is exactly why we started looking around and purchasing a variety of different dresses for mum's and girls. A last-minute run to the shop for a button up or white shirt for your son can also be easily ticked off the list simply by checking what sizes have in studio.
