A little about our Studio Newborn Sessions
I am so happy that you have seen something in my work that has led you to contacting me today. I would be honoured to capture these wonderful memories for you and your family!
Our posed Newborn session is carried out on weekdays from my studio in St Clair. These sessions can tend to go up to 4 hours depending on how baby is feeling on the day. Although I plan the session prior to you arriving, I do structure my sessions solely around baby and the cue’s he/she is giving me. This could mean we get all sleepy poses and sometimes we may get mostly awake photos but majority of the time we can get both 😊
You may already know what it is like having a Newborn in the house but if you don’t you will quickly learn that the first few weeks/months we tend to work on baby time, and this is exactly what I roll with in my studio... baby time!
We now have a more relaxed space which you can utilise during your posed Newborn session OR if you are after a completely relaxed feel to your Newborn session you can opt for the relaxed studio package that will have very minimal posing.
Studio Newborn sessions are the perfect session for you to sit back, relax and watch on in awe as we create some beautiful memories.
A little about our In-home Newborn Sessions
Our in-home newborn sessions are a Lifestyle session that tell your unique story whether that is capturing that freshness in a Fresh 48 session in hospital within the first 2 days or welcoming your brand-new baby with a newborn family session.
These images are documentary & tell a story using your home and minimal items in your session. These are edited natural/raw and do not have an over polished finish, because this is real life & all its beauty. Some of your images holding baby will even have that studio feel to them using creative natural lighting.
The best time to hold your home session is within the first 2 weeks for sleepy portraits, or up to 12 weeks old.
In-home sessions are held on weekdays between mid-morning to noon when the light is brightest.
It's a perfect session for your fur-babies to join in and be photographed with you if you wish.
In home newborn sessions are always held on weekdays. It's best to book as early as possible while Dad is off work if needed.
The colour, feel and theme of your images will be created by your decor and clothing. I have a full client wardrobe that is available for use for bub. You also have access to our developing range of dresses for mums and siblings too, If you wish to see what I have to offer up please let me know.
Not sure your home is suited for a photohgraphy session?
If you love the relaxed vibe for your family portraits but don’t think your home will work well for the lifestyle session your are after we now have a more relaxed space in the studio which you can opt to use instead. This space was designed to provide exactly that!

Booking your session
To secure a session a $150 non-refundable booking fee is required within 48 hours of reserving a date
All studio Newborn sessions commence at 10am from my St Clair studio and are limited to weekdays only.
After selecting a date with PJA, you will receive an email with details on how to secure the session, an invoice, your booking contract and your session questionnaire.
Your booking will not be secured until this payment has been made. The booking fee is deducted from the remaining balance, this will be due before your session if paid online or in cash on the day.
Should you need to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your booking your session fee will be forfeited unless your session can be replaced.

I understand booking your photography session is the easy part, the outfit stress sinks in.
We understand that new outfits can be hard to find, and it can get a little pricey especially if you're buying for a few. This is exactly why we started looking around and purchasing a variety of different dresses for mum's and girls.
